Lily Allen daughter had life-threatening illness

Lily Allen has revealed her eldest daughter Ethel was seriously ill with a life-threatening condition when she was just 12 months old. 

In an interview for BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, Allen said: "I was scared of losing her the whole time."

Ethel was born with a condition called laryngomalacia - a condition which causes the larynx to collapse into the airwaves. 

"It's basically a problem with the throat," Lily explained.

"She was working so hard to breathe, to just exist really, and she wasn't really gaining any weight at all.

"Because all of the food she was taking on, she was just expending the energy on this breathing process.

"When she was really, really little the doctors said she had to have an operation to correct it and then that didn't work so she had to have it again.

"And she was tiny, she'd lost so much weight and then as a result of that, because of what happened before with my previous, it was just a really tough time.

"She just had to be tube-fed for about seven months, eight months. But she's fine now, absolutely fine."

Allen added:

"All I wanted to do was just breast-feed her and to sit there in my chair with her and spend those precious hours into the night looking after your child."

Lily also spoke about how she had a stillbirth six months into a pregnancy in 2010, admitting it was "difficult to talk about it":

"When we lost our first, I remember thinking it's just so bizarre that I seem to have all these really unique experiences, you know, the highs along with the lows," she said.

"From playing on the main stage at Glastonbury to 70,000 people to losing a child, it's just, everything seemed to be extremes."

This is such a crazy, CRAZY situation.

We told you this morning how Zac Efron was involved in an attack with several transients in a not-so-nice part of El Lay that's known for drugs and gangs.

But now we're hearing from the bodyguard involved that Zac was actually a hero during the scary moment.

The bodyguard is reporting that they were going to a restaurant in Little Tokyo when they suddenly ran out of gas. That's when the alleged bottle throwing incident occurred to spur on the attack from the transients.

However, the bodyguard is claiming the attack started when the strangers randomly came after him with something similar to a spear or shank. The man was allegedly stabbed in the stomach, face, and chest.

And then THAT is when Zac apparently got out of the car and started swinging a vodka bottle to fend off the attack. From what we hear from the bodyguard, it worked!

But, we must advise, take this all with a grain of salt because we're also hearing that this "bodyguard" has a criminal record for drugs and violence.

Not to mention, what was Zac doing with a vodka bottle in his car in the first place??

We're glad Zac is safe, but this isn't looking too good for his recovery.

We sincerely hope he can get back on track and keep dangerous people out of his life!

Kris Humphries Sued for Clothing Store Deal Gone Wrong

Someone other than Kim Kardashian is taking issue with Kris Humphries.

The Brooklyn Nets baller is being sued by Scott Hill, the owner of a designer clothing boutique in Beverly Hills who struck a deal awhile back with Humphries:

Kris introduces Hill to two other NBA players and, in return, Kris receives 30% off all items in the store.

However, Humphries failed to hold up his end of the bargain... while racking up over $46,000 in bills at the discounted price.

Hill alleges that Kris owes him $6,000 for the suits and is suing for $52,000 in damages, plus interest.

Sounds like a tough case to win if there's nothing in writing. But whatever. Humphries is an idiot.

California teens face sexual assault charges after girl's suicide

Three teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl from northern California who hanged herself within days of the attack after an image of it circulated online, police and her family's lawyer said.

Audrie Pott felt devastatingly humiliated by Internet exposure of the September 2012 incident, which occurred while she was passed out from drinking at a friend's home, said Robert Allard, an attorney for Pott's parents.

The three 16-year-old boys, who attended Saratoga High School with Pott at the time of the allegedsexual assault, were arrested on Thursday in Santa Clara County, about 10 miles from San Jose, saidSheriff Laurie Smith.

The boys, whose identities were not revealed by authorities because they are minors, were booked on suspicion of sexual assault by digital penetration and distributing a photo of a minor in sexual positions, both of which are felonies. They also face a misdemeanor count of inappropriate touching, Smith said.

Reuters does not name victims of sexual assault, but Allard said Pott's parents consented to allowing their daughter to be named in media reports.

The arrests follow public outrage over the sexual assault last year of a 16-year-old girl by two high school football players in Steubenville, Ohio. That case and others like it have raised concerns about the shame young victims of rape can suffer when pictures of the attack are circulated among their peers via social media networks.

Pott committed suicide eight days after the alleged sexual assault. She had posted messages on Facebook that read, "my life is ruined" and "the whole school knows," Allard said.

"She felt that her reputation was spoiled forever," Allard told Reuters. "Imagine how you'd feel, through the push of a button, people know the most intimate details about you and they're taunting you and shaming you."

"It causes great damage, and in this case it led to her death," he said.

Allard said he planned to file a wrongful death lawsuit in the attack.

Marc Buller, spokesman for the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office, said his office was in the process of filing formal charges against the three boys but that because they are minors he could not comment further.

The investigation remains open and more arrests are possible, said Santa Clara County Sheriff's spokesman Lieutenant Jose Cardoza.

Allard said the delay of seven months between the alleged assault and the arrests may have stemmed from the reluctance of some students to cooperate with investigators.

Smith said her department confronted a number of legal issues related to investigating the actions of juveniles. "I won't be apologetic for why this took so long," she said.

Allard said Pott went to a friend's house for a visit that turned to drinking when she and others consumed alcohol taken from a liquor cabinet in the home. He said the boys arrived at the house after Pott had gone upstairs and fallen asleep.

"The boys accused of assaulting Pott were her friends," Allard said. "The trust that she had in her friends was just obliterated by what happened. Perhaps it was her view of life in such a positive way that made this so much harder for her."
